Booking software for indoor soccer and turf facilities
LocalRec Facility OS is booking and operations software for indoor sports facilities in Canada. For an indoor turf or futsal facility, it sells the full field, each half and each third by the hour on your booking page, and turns down any booking that overlaps one already made. Teams book on the web or in the LocalRec app, and your desk adds phone bookings to the same calendar.
LocalRec takes no commission on your bookings, and every price is in Canadian dollars.
Where turf bookings go wrong
One field, three ways to sell it
Turf rents as a full field, as halves for small-sided games and as thirds for training. Keep those on a spreadsheet and sooner or later Third 2 gets sold under a half that's already booked, and two teams walk onto the same turf.
Team bookings by phone and text
A coach calls to ask what's free on Thursday. By the time you call back, the slot has gone. One team rental can take a string of texts to confirm, and the rest of your staff see none of them.
Collecting after the final whistle
Teams finish, pack their bags and leave. Chasing the fee afterwards means invoices, reminders and the odd team that never pays.
Grooming the booking page can't see
The field closes for grooming or a seam repair, sometimes the same day. If the booking page still shows those hours as free, a team turns up to a closed field.
The futsal court on a separate list
The futsal court, a training room or a second field often lives on its own sheet, so nobody sees the whole building's day at once.
How LocalRec runs an indoor soccer facility
Halves and thirds that never double-book
Add the field once as the sections it physically divides into, six if you sell both halves and thirds, then make each rental from the sections it uses. A full-field booking blocks both halves and all three thirds. Third 2 sits across the middle, so booking it blocks the full field and both halves. Every booking, from the page or the desk, is checked against each rental that shares turf with it.
A booking page coaches use instead of calling
Your booking page carries your logo, cover photo and rental photos. A coach picks the day, start time and length, enters their details and confirms with a 6-digit code sent to their email. They don't need a password or the app. The slot is held while they check out, 10 minutes by default, so nobody takes it mid-booking.
Pick how teams pay
Choose one way for your facility: card at booking into your own Stripe account, Interac e-Transfer, or payment at the facility. With e-Transfer you can ask for a percentage deposit and set a window to send it. Staff confirm or decline each transfer, and LocalRec reminds you about the ones still waiting.
Closures and blocked time
Close the field for grooming, or block a Saturday for a tournament, and those hours come off the booking page.
Phone bookings on the same calendar
The day and week calendar shows the field, the futsal court and any rooms side by side. When a coach calls, staff pick the customer and enter the booking, and LocalRec checks for conflicts before it saves.
Waivers signed before the first game
Upload your waiver as a PDF and require it at a customer's first booking. They sign it when they book, or at the desk if they show up without it.
An example week on one turf field
A made-up week for one field and a futsal court, to show how the rentals fit together.
- Monday evening
- An adult league has the full field from 7 to 11. Staff entered each league night at the desk, so those hours never appear on the booking page.
- Tuesday
- Two youth clubs train side by side on Third 1 and Third 3. A parent books Third 2 for a private session, and the page allows it because no half or full-field booking overlaps.
- Wednesday
- The field closes from 1 to 4 for grooming. The futsal court stays open, and the desk books in a walk-in group.
- Friday night
- A company booked Half A on Monday for a staff game and sent an e-Transfer deposit. Staff confirmed it the next morning.
- Saturday
- A tournament runs all day. Staff blocked the full field weeks ago, so no half or third could be booked.

Create your facility
Sign up with your work email, then add the facility, its location and its spaces.
Set up the field's sections
Add a section for each part the field splits into, six if you sell thirds. Then make each rental from the sections it uses and give it an hourly rate, or set it to price on request.
Set hours and payment
Add opening hours for the location and each space, your cancellation policy, and how teams pay.
Go live
After a quick verification, your booking page goes live. Put the link on your website and send it to your regular teams.
Questions owners ask
Can I rent a full field, halves and thirds of the same turf?
Yes. Set the field up as six sections, then make a full-field rental, two halves and three thirds from them. A third and the half it overlaps can never both be sold for the same hour.
Do teams need a password or the app to book?
No. Teams book in a web browser and confirm with a 6-digit code sent to their email. Players who already use the LocalRec app can book there, and turn the booking into a pickup game other players can join.
How do teams pay for a field rental?
You pick one way for the whole facility: card at booking, Interac e-Transfer, or payment at the facility. An e-Transfer can be a percentage deposit with a deadline. LocalRec takes no commission on bookings.
Can I set up a futsal court alongside the turf?
Yes. Add the futsal court as its own space with its own hours and rate. It appears on the same booking page and calendar as the field, and a booking on one never blocks the other.
How do I hold the field for my league nights?
Enter your league nights from the desk, or block the field for those hours, so nobody can book it online. In Regina, LocalRec runs soccer leagues in its app, with team sign-up, schedules, standings and stats.
Can I charge more on weeknight evenings?
Yes. Set a higher rate for peak hours on any rental, or a different rate for a dated season. Customers see the price before they book, and changing your rates later leaves existing bookings at their price.
